"A top class choir in the heart of Dorset"

Forthcoming concert: Saturday 12th November 2022 at St Mary's Church

We are featuring Derek Bourgeois’s Jabberwocky, a setting of 4 poems from Lewis Caroll’s “Through the Looking Glass”. Described as a “choral extravaganza for Baritone, Chorus and Orchestra” it was first performed in 1963 at Cranleigh School where Derek had been a star pupil and where, after a scholarship to Cambridge, he returned to join the Music Staff under Jared Armstrong. We couple this vivid and lesser-known work with two perennial favourites: a choral setting of Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances and Elgar’s Cockaigne Overture.

Our recent concerts in Upwey, Piddlehinton and Dorchester have raised over £1,200 for the Christian Aid Ukraine Appeal.  Thank you to all our supporters!
